We are pleased to provide female artists with an opportunity to showcase their work. The exhibit is open to any female artist over 18 years old residing in Kentucky.

We are proud to offer The 2024 Special Purchase Award. The exhibition committee and a juror will select the Special Purchase Award piece which will be purchased by and displayed at The Medical Center. Creating an atmosphere of safety and comfort is important for healing and recuperation. Consequently, artwork purchased by The Medical Center is intended to enhance a healing atmosphere.

Come meet Author / Illustrator Stacy Schilling the creative visionary behind the new children's picture book series, The Frizz Girls, aimed at teaching girls ages 5–13 how to take care of their wavy or curly hair. Stacy will be available for book readings, signings, and pictures at the library for this one day event. Kids attending the event will also be able to pick up an activity and coloring sheet.

The Kentucky Museum presents their annual juried art exhibit, which is truly a celebration of this region’s art. Generously sponsored by Abound Credit Union, any Kentucky resident over the age of 18 and living within 65 miles of Bowling Green was eligible to enter a piece of their original artwork created within the last two years. Monetary awards are given in ten categories as well as for Best of Show, the Purchase Award, the World's Greatest Studio Tour Merit Award, and the Artworks Merit Award.

Stacy will also be available for book signing and pictures. A limited number of books will be available for purchase at the event. 

Stacy has been invited as a guest speaker by iLearn Virtual Academy located in Dallas, TX for their Virtual Career Day event to share her career as an author and of course,
The Frizz Girls. Students that will participate in the virtual career day will range from
3rd – 8th grade. 

During the event, Stacy will read her first two books in the series, Stacy Learns to Love Her Wavy Hair, And You Can Too! and What the Frizz?!?! How to Take Care of Your Wavy and Curly Hair Find Your Hair Type…Starring The Frizz Girls. Kids attending the event will also receive an activity worksheet, a coloring page, bookmark and sticker.
