I had the privilege and pleasure to spend an hour visiting Ms. Kanesha Barnes-Adams' elementary class on September 27 for a virtual book reading and discussion of my book, Stacy Learns to Love Her Wavy Hair, and You Can Too!. We are proud to offer The 2024 Special Purchase Award. The exhibition committee and a juror will select the Special Purchase Award piece which will be purchased by and displayed at The Medical Center. Creating an atmosphere of safety and comfort is important for healing and recuperation. Consequently, artwork purchased by The Medical Center is intended to enhance a healing atmosphere.

The Kentucky Museum presents their annual juried art exhibit, which is truly a celebration of this region’s art. Generously sponsored by Abound Credit Union, any Kentucky resident over the age of 18 and living within 65 miles of Bowling Green was eligible to enter a piece of their original artwork created within the last two years. Monetary awards are given in ten categories as well as for Best of Show, the Purchase Award, the World's Greatest Studio Tour Merit Award, and the Artworks Merit Award.

Stacy has been invited as a guest speaker by iLearn Virtual Academy located in Dallas, TX for their Virtual Career Day event to share her career as an author and of course,
The Frizz Girls. Students that will participate in the virtual career day will range from
3rd – 8th grade.
